QuitZen — Replace Actual Smoking with Zen Mindfulness to Quit.
QuitZen is an app rooted in Zen mindfulness aimed at assisting smokers in overcoming their addiction.
Developed from my journey and a decade-long battle with smoking, i understand the challenges of quitting. While physical dependence on nicotine can be addressed, psychological dependence is often the greater challenge. QuitZen encourages smokers to adopt Zen mindfulness practices for relaxation during typical smoking triggers like work breaks or moments of anxiety.
Utilizing microphone technology to detect deep breaths, our app simulates the smoking experience, offering a mindful practice as an alternative to the temporary relief provided by cigarettes.
Currently available for free, we are working on introducing features like mindfulness reminders and customizable alert plans. My goal is for anyone wishing to quit smoking to think of QuitZen the moment they feel the urge to light up, engage in a session of Zen mindfulness through the app, and follow a 90-day mindfulness journey to successfully quit smoking.
